Hi today I'm going to show you how to operate the Snowie 1000. We're going to actually make a snow cone from start to finish. I take my scope, get me a scope of ice, raise the lid up, pour in my ice cubes, and close my lid.
Today I'm actually running the shaver with the foot pedal. If you notice there is a switch on the machine. You can run it with your foot or manually. I'm going to run it with my foot so I can use both of my hands.
If you notice on the front of the shaver there is this flap that we call the snow guide. This guide actually helps us guide all the snow into our cup. If you notice where I'm placing my cup, I'm holding it out as far out as possible. This catch, or guide, catches all the snow from falling down.
One thing you don't want to do is not use the catch and hold your cup up close. You actually need to see what's going on in this top maker so you know when to stop running the machine in order to make your snow cone.
So, I take my snow guide, wrap it around my cup. Place my on the very edge. Step on the foot pedal. Run the machine for about 15 to 20 seconds. At this point I stop. If you notice I stop before I put any more snow in there. This allows me to shape the cup without plugging the machine. I'll show you a version of me plugging it.
If I run the machine and back the snow up to the blade housing, I am plugging the machine with packed snow. I can still save the snow cone and not waist the product. The ice mound is a little big. I can knock some off, shape it, and still sell it. But, now I have this plug in the way. We call these bars. We don't want to sell these to a customer so I'll take a new cup to catch that bar and I'll run the machine to clear the bar. Once I remove the bar, I can start over.
Once, I've shaved enough ice for a new snow cone, I stop at the appropriate point, take my snow cone, press it up, and I'm done.
